As a Microsoft Surface Book artist, I know the frustration of not having hotkeys. Although your Surface Pen has buttons that you can use for things like opening apps, it has nothing for art programs.
I started looking for a programmable keypad that would allow me to use hotkeys, and I found this. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I was determined to make it work.
Here is how I did it:
Step 1: Download AutoHotkey, if you download it onto your desktop instead of in your downloads folder it makes it easier to run and set up the program.
Step 2: Create A Script File.
Right click on your desktop.
Hover your mouse over "NEW".
Select AutoHotkey Script.
Make sure that the name of the script ends with the extension;".ahk" or else the script won't be able to work.
